Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

What I personally find the hardest to draw is feet and hands. I found that with a lot of practice and a lot of frustrating mistakes my feet and hands actually look at the very least almost the way i want them to be.
Now my favorite Style of drawing is Anime or sometimes semi-realism, and i find that by doing studies of the more traditional style realism actually helps improve my anime pictures greatly. For instance i would practice drawing my hands and feet in different positions holding different things and from different angles. I also find it extremely helpful while i'm drawing and i'm having a particularly hard time drawing a hand or a foot in a certain position i will stop for a

Hi everyone!

It's been a long time.

I know we all have other things to do out there beside DA. I think I have like 800 some people that I watch their work. But the funny thing is, I swear I can only see like 10 or 15 deviations posted from the people I watch their work. Did everyone disappear from DA? Maybe lost inspirations? I see most deviations posted from groups that I joined. Other than that, the people that I watch their work seems to disappear. I can hardly see individual deviations on my lists and I missed seeing that. I know. I shouldn't be talking, I went almost a year without submitting an image. But still I really do miss most of the artists that I watch their work. Most are gone I think

Wow I'll admit I usually don't read people's journals, mostly because when I do log on to DA I'm just kind of skim and run due to the fact that I usually do it at work (bad Lauren...) but you're right. There seems to be a slow season going on here. I'll try and upload more sketches and stuff. I don't really have a ton of time to dedicate to working on things that I would like to, full time school and work is quite the handful.

I just went through your gallery again and I always love what I see. I still remember 8 years ago when you helped me by cropping my avatar for me when I couldn't figure it out.

You are always in inspiration. I really only started colouring my work because you kept asking me to haha! (For about 3 years before I finally took the plunge.) And for that I want to thank you.

I totally agree and I must say it is the same for me. Few people in my list are submitting stuff and I myself am submitting very rarely. But the thing is that I try to submit only stuff that I find to be good, and so i leave aside a whole bunch of images. And then, I sometimes think that this account is no longer very relevant for me. I would love to have my own web site but then again I don't really have the time to build one. I see deviant art mostly as a place to share deviations and ideas to get feedback, to meet other artists better than yourself and so improve. But in this last year I hardly had time to practice on digital art, and ended up mostly submitting photography.

Yeah, so ... my rant and my reasons.

I know I'm ridiculously late in this, especially since I've been one of the ones that has kind of gone inactive and you might not even remember me. Truthfully, I just haven't been as much into DA as I used to be so I just haven't posted as much and when I do come back I usually up getting so much artwork and stuff to go through that it ends up kind of overwhelming on a grand scale to comment on all and look through them. I also haven't been doing as much art as I used to and so I've kind of just gone inactive overall.

I do have an art blog if you're interested and mostly I've been posting any artistic work I have to there instead.
